The soup that tastes like a cheeseburger without the bun! A little goes a long way as it is quite a hearty soup.
Recipe for Cheeseburger Soup
Ingredients
- 1lb ground beef
- 3/4 cup shredded carrots
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups potatoes, cubed
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, cubed
- 1- 1/2 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
- Salt and pepper to taste

- In a large pot, melt 1 tablespoon butter or margarine over medium heat

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

A creamy potato soup that tastes like a loaded baked potato. So good and super easy! Great for using up extra baked potatoes!
Recipe for Baked Potato Soup
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter
- 2/3 cup flour
- 7 cups milk
- 5 large baking potatoes, baked, cooled, peeled and cubed, about 5 cups
- 1 large onion chopped, OR a few green onions
- 10 to 12 strips bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled OR 1 cup cubed, cooked ham
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe for Cabbage Soup
Ingredients
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
- 1 medium cabbage, chopped
- 3 tablespoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon aniseed
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 teaspoons salt and pepper (or as desired)
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 cups carrot, shredded
- 1/2 cup celery, finely sliced
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 can water
Instructions
- In a dutch oven or soup kettle, bring all the above ingredients to a boil.

This butternut squash soup is amazing with a little hint of curry!
Recipe for Butternut Squash Soup
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 1 medium sized butternut squash – cubed
- 1 apple, cut in pieces
- 1 potato, cubed
- 1-2 tablespoons mild curry paste
- 1 small can chicken broth
- 1 can water
Instructions
- Saute onion in oil until onion turns clear.
- Add squash, apple, potato and paste.
- Toss to coat vegetables with paste.
- Add chicken broth and water when the contents in the pot are almost boiling.
