Quick N’ Easy Chili

A basic chili recipe that’s easy to make and full of wholesome goodness!

Recipe for Quick n’ Easy Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 – 14 oz. cans beans in tomato sauce
  • 1 – 10 oz. can tomato soup
  • 1 – 16 oz. can kidney beans
  • 1 – 29 oz. can pasta sauce
  • 1-2 teaspoons black pepper, or to taste
  • 2-4 teaspoons chili powder, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat and place ground beef in a large saucepan.

Gone All Day Stew

A great tomato based stew that’s great to come home to at the end of a long, busy day!

Recipe for Gone All Day Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 lbs stewing beef
  • 3 med carrots, sliced
  • 6 white onions, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 cup celery, sliced
  • 12 whole mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 tablespoon Italian herb seasoning
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 grinds fresh pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix tomato soup, water, and flour together until smooth.

Cheeseburger Soup

The soup that tastes like a cheeseburger without the bun! A little goes a long way as it is quite a hearty soup.

Recipe for Cheeseburger Soup

Ingredients

  • 1lb ground beef
  • 3/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 3/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cups potatoes, cubed
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1- 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt 1 tablespoon butter or margarine over medium heat

Italian Vegetable Soup

Lots of vegetables and wonderful beef flavor make this Italian soup recipe a heart healthy favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 teaspoons beef bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen green beans, cut in 1 inch pieces

Creamy Baked Potato Soup

A creamy potato soup that tastes like a loaded baked potato. So good and super easy! Great for using up extra baked potatoes!

Recipe for Baked Potato Soup

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 7 cups milk
  • 5 large baking potatoes, baked, cooled, peeled and cubed, about 5 cups
  • 1 large onion chopped, OR a few green onions
  • 10 to 12 strips bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled OR 1 cup cubed, cooked ham
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
